Growing Our Capacity, Together

We are delighted to share that DanceStream Projects has been selected as one of just 36 nonprofit arts organizations across New York State to participate in the 2026 NYSCA/NYFA Community Arts Leaders Program, administered by the New York Foundation for the Arts with funding support from the New York State Council on the Arts.

This free program brings together arts organizations for technical workshops and individualized consulting focused on strengthening organizational capacity and supporting areas of growth. Running from August through December, the program offers DanceStream an important opportunity to learn alongside community-rooted arts organizations from across New York State.

For a young organization like DanceStream, this is a particularly meaningful opportunity. As our programs, partnerships, and community continue to grow, so too must the structures that support them. Investing in leadership, governance, fundraising, sustainability, and organizational systems is part of investing in the future of the work itself—and in our ability to serve our communities for years to come.

We are deeply grateful to NYFA and NYSCA for recognizing DanceStream and for creating space for small, community-rooted arts organizations to learn, strengthen, and grow together. We are excited to build the foundation for what comes next.
