Channeling creativity to enhance person-centered community
Stories in the Moment® For All is a dance program for older adults that is designed to spark brain health, while collectively building spaces of heightened belonging. The program mobilizes all of the ways we connect and communicate, through sound, music and imagination to explore connections between movement and meaning. Together we bring our minds and bodies together to build stories in the moment.
“[The program] enhances my activities. I sleep better, I eat better, I’m walking better. And I learn to do a lot more things!”
– Genevieve

Video Reflections
In 2022, we joined Professor Daniel Gan as part of the Simon Fraser University – Brain Health in Community Project. As part of the project, elders from the Vancouver community joined online and in person activities based on their interests. This project served as a form of social prescribing directed for older adults to support their brain health.
Watch the video to hear reflections from select participants on the impact of Stories in the Moment® For All.
